Causeway Trail
Arrival/Departure options: Dublin or Belfast

The Causeway Trail by Links Golf Ireland is a true links golf vacation. The tour focuses mostly on golf courses in the North of Ireland. You play courses which are ranked mostly in the world top 100. The accommodations are first class and historical.

Golf in the north of Ireland is as good as any of the southwest coures. Royal Portrush Golf Club and Royal County Down Golf Club will test you and possibly hurt your ego but you will walk off the 18th wanting to go back out for another loop. Royal Portrush Golf Club is the only course on the island to have held a British Open. Royal County Down is the venue for the 2007 Walker Cup.

Quite a few of our returning golf trip visitors opt for The Causeway Trail as their next chapter of Irish Golf Vacations. The courses are quieter and the tradition of golf is still well alive in the likes of Royal Portrush and Royal County Down. Portstewart has what many consider the best front nine of all links golf courses. The caddies at Portstewart are all mature club members mostly enjoying their retirement and caddying for some pocket money. Our Causeway Trail is possibly the best available.

Flights into Dublin or Belfast are suggested. Continental Airlines fly direct to Belfast from Newark during the Summer. Carriers from the US to Dublin include: Delta Airlines, US Airways, Aer Lingus (American Airlines) and Continental Airlines.
